This past November, for 3 days Honeywell’s elite group of security dealers, The First Alert Professionals gathered in Orlando, FL for the Connect 2014 convention. In that time, special sessions were set for all of the attendees with a special focus on quality , service , new technology and other facets of the security industry. American Total Protection’s Rence Coassin was on hand as a keynote speaker at the convention on the topic of the strengths of the Connected Home- A Strategy for Success .
ATP was among other notable Honeywell authorized dealers receiving awards. Coming off last year’s award, Security Dealer of the Year- 3rd place was quite the achievement. This year ATP received two awards;

At American Total Protection we consider ourselves fortunate to be able to be recognized as a life safety solution and to be in the position to also give back to the community. Receiving an award for such things is quite humbling and gratifying.
While we install smoke and CO detectors on a daily basis here at ATP, this story was especially rewarding when a person called the office earlier in the year thinking they needed service because of the beeping on their keypad, our kick thinking employee quickly identified this was a CO alarm and told the caller to evacuate everyone. Later the fire department confirmed that CO levels in the home were too high and a horrific accident was averted. Read more about this story here.
All of us wish that we could help everywhere right? And all of us do what we can, when we can. This past year there was an animal rescue charity that really needed the help of a fire alarm company . The Save the Tails project came up on our radar as we became aware that the previous location had had a fire, and animals perished in it. The owner Pet Rescue by Judy reached out to the community and the community answered. This independent news story gets more into the detail of this happy ending which we were glad to be a part of. Thank you to Honeywell and First Alert for recognizing ATP on these efforts.
