Can Snowbirds Really Fly?

Can Snowbirds really fly? Let’s take a birds-eye view….

Many years ago, the term ‘ Snowbird ’ was not as common as it is today. These were folks, who with certain financial means, and flexible schedule, had the ability to fly south to a warmer, sunnier climate when cold weather, and snow set-in up north. So I thought to myself, Can Snowbirds Fly ?

Wikipedia defines them as the following:

“Snowbirds are typically retirees who wish to avoid the snow and cold temperatures of northern winter, but maintain ties with family and friends by staying there the rest of the year. Some are business owners who have a second home in a warmer location or whose business can be easily moved from place to place….. Some are people who suffer from seasonal affective disorder who wish to enjoy the longer daylight hours in the southern latitudes in winter….In the past snowbirds were frequently wealthy persons with independent incomes who maintained several seasonal residences and shifted residence with the seasons to avail themselves of the best time to be at each location….”

These extended periods of travel back and forth for Snowbirds mean managing multiple houses, and very different lifestyles. Streamlining the effort has been made easier with the world of advanced technology, especially in Home Security. American Total Protection understands you can’t be in both places at once.
